Job Summary The Maintenance Crew Leader is responsible for supervising and training crew members, ensuring that all maintenance and landscaping tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.   • Treating Others as we want to be treated Duties/Responsibilities Supervise, train, and mentor crew members in landscaping techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures.
Perform and oversee landscaping and maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, trimming, mulching, planting, pruning, irrigation, snow removal, and general property upkeep. Safely operate and maintain lawn and landscape equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge clippers, sprayers, trucks, trailers, etc.). Ensure crew members wear proper uniforms and safety equipment (PPE) at all times. Keep trucks, tools, and equipment clean, presentable, and in good working order. Serve as a point of contact between clients, supervisors, and project managers. Provide updates, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities Knowledge of landscaping tools, equipment, and maintenance practices. Ability to operate mowers (zero-turn, push), trimmers, blowers, edgers, chainsaws, and irrigation tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation to and from the shop. High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in landscaping highly preferred. At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred. Education and Experience High school graduate or equivalent desired Previous outside construction, landscape, or similar field experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must 6 months commercial landscape experience preferred but not required Physical Requirements Regular attendance and reliability, including the ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind, humidity).
