Our waterpark is a centerpiece of summer fun, and we are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team and ensure the highest standards of safety and performance for our attractions at Myrtle Waves Waterpark.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Manager will oversee all maintenance operations for the waterpark's slides, pools, pumps, filtration systems, and related equipment. This role involves managing a team of technicians, developing maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and implementing strategies for efficient operation and upkeep of our rides and facilities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests by ensuring the maintenance team conducts regular inspections, performs repairs, and maintains a clean, safe, and operational environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead, train, and manage the maintenance team, ensuring high levels of performance and safety. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for waterslides, pools, pumps, filtration systems, and amusement park rides. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, including water quality and chemical treatment standards. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Collaborate with park management to budget for maintenance projects, equipment upgrades and purchase orders. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs and services. Foster a culture of safety and teamwork within the maintenance department. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance maintenance operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or pool/water systems. CPO license is required. Previous experience in maintenance, repair, or related field, preferably in a waterpark, amusement park, or similar recreational environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the waterpark or amusement industry, including pool and water quality standards. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and to work outdoors in seasonal weather conditions.
