This includes troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical issues, repairing equipment, installing new parts, fabricating, welding, changing screens, performing electrical work, climbing ladders, and lifting 50 lbs. or more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform all work in a safe and conscientious manner. Work in a team dynamic, primarily unsupervised. Possess good verbal and written communication skills. Follow established procedures and policies. Maintain a clean work environment. Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Safely work with high-voltage 480VAC circuits. Troubleshoot AC & DC circuits. Possess PLC knowledge or troubleshooting skills. Capable of welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and strong core work ethics. Available for weekday on-call rotation. Available for periodic weekend work. Perform other work as needed. Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and malfunctions utilizing a working knowledge of control system programs and tools required for electrical test equipment. Coordinate the preventive maintenance program by identifying items that need regular inspection and replacement, scheduling tasks and frequencies, and following up to ensure completion and effectiveness.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment. Knowledge of electrical safe work practices. Ability to read and interpret basic wiring diagrams. Familiarity with forklift and scissor lift operation. PC experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft software. Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Ability to climb up and down ladders daily. Ability to hear alarms and the sound of operating machinery. Ability to work at heights above ground level. Knowledge of current local electrical codes regarding sizing and installing switchgear, conduit, and controls. Proficiency with basic hand tools, electrical measuring devices, motors, controls, heating, cooling, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Experience with periodic instrument calibrations, layout and fabrication of control panels, and minor mechanical repairs such as motor, valve, and cylinder replacement. Preferred experience with bucket elevators, rotary valves, augers, air compressors, baghouses, mills, mixers, blenders, dryers, ovens, and rotary calciners is a plus.

Pay:

$27.00 - $32.51 per hour
