Qualifications Education and Experience:

Experience equivalent to two years of skilled fulltime labor and trades experience

A valid motor vehicle operator's license may be required for employment in some positions. Overview This position is responsible for the maintenance of park facilities, including buildings, structures, and grounds, of moderate difficulty. The ideal candidate will have experience in facility and grounds maintenance, as well as the ability to troubleshoot issues with equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and other maintenance and custodial tools. Responsibilities Perform inspection of grounds and facilities daily to identify areas or facilities needing repair and maintenance. Perform grounds and facilities maintenance duties as requested. Inspect grounds for trash, safety hazards, maintenance issues, and general appearance to ensure public safety in the park. Operate a variety of maintenance equipment including commercial mowers, string trimmers, chainsaws, and leaf blowers, as well as a variety of other building maintenance power and hand tools. Perform groundskeeping work, including cutting and trimming grass and removing obstructive trees/limbs. Perform custodial tasks related to cleaning facilities, including floor mopping and buffing, power washing, wall cleaning and painting, sink and mirror cleaning, supply restocking and other custodial work as required. Communicate with the general public to provide basic customer service and direct persons to appropriate solutions or answers.
