Job Description In the Maintenance Manager role, you will lead the Maintenance Department in an effort to maintain building maintenance, equipment maintenance, vehicle maintenance, machine maintenance and safe operations for all the above-mentioned areas. Additionally, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the department within an annual budget and expected to control maintenance cost in respect to volume of work produced from year to year.
Supervisor :
Maintenance Manager will report directly to the General Manger Work History and/or
Education Qualifications :
Maintenance Manager requires (1) of the following qualifications: 1. A degree or graduate certificate from a reputable college or technical training facility in Industrial Maintenance along with a minimum of (1) year's work history in an industrial maintenance department. 2. A minimum of (3) years' work experience in an industrial maintenance department.
Position Qualifications :
1. Organized 2. Dependable 3. Task driven and able to manage/prioritize multiple tasks at one time 4. Good communication skills 5. Flexible work schedule depending on production downtime 6. Delegate and manage assignments for maintenance technician(s) 7. Positive leadership skills 8. High level of understanding and ability to safely perform work on high & low voltage electrical, including trouble-shooting control wires, solenoids, and functions related to CnC machinery 9. High level of mechanical skills, including forklift repairs, hydraulic repairs, pneumatic systems, etc. 10. Strong level of fabricating and welding 11. Able to service and install plumbing and HVAC systems 12. Work within guidelines and requirements of DOT regulations
Responsibilities :
Maintenance Manager will have the following responsibilities that include but not limited to: 1. Manage, oversee and perform all repairs on a daily basis, as the need arises. This is decided with levels of priority with respect to safety and minimizing equipment/machine downtime. 2. Maintain on-time and scheduled preventative maintenance, as required. 3. Maintain an accurate level of needed parts and supplies. 4. Maintain the company asset log of equipment identification numbers and associated maintenance records. 5. Departmental training needs. 6. Work directly with the safety team to keep monthly safety inspection work orders completed and following up to make sure the safety concerns are addressed and/or repaired. 7. Work directly with the purchasing department to make sure all needed parts are identified with proper ordering information and ordered from contacts/suppliers as suggested by the maintenance department.
Physical Requirements :
1. Must be able to stand and/or sit for 8+ hours a day. This will often times be combined with office and production area environments. 2. Must be able to randomly lift 75+ pounds. 3. Ability to work in confined spaces, work from raised platforms and man baskets 4. MUST follow all safety manual policies.
