A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Experience:
Minimum 5 years in maintenance planning and work execution
Education:
Bachelor's degree
Industry:
Chemical plant/manufacturing experience required
SAP:
Working knowledge/experience preferred Key Responsibilities Plan and schedule preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance activities. Coordinate with Operations, Safety, Engineering, and Maintenance Craftsmen . Use SAP for work orders, maintenance schedules, backlog, manpower loading, BOMs, task lists, and maintenance plans. Coordinate parts procurement and vendor services . Manage and organize storeroom inventory and SAP inventory data. Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Support plant turnarounds (TAR) , including shutdown/startup planning, vendor coordination, quotes, requisitions, and scheduling. Support site audits such as PSM, AIMS, and ISO . Assist with facility repairs and small capital projects. Ideal Candidate Look for candidates with a background such as Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Scheduler, Maintenance Coordinator, or Maintenance Planning Specialist , preferably within a chemical manufacturing or process plant environment . Strong SAP experience and turnaround/shutdown planning experience would be a major plus.
