The Engineer Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of all engineering and maintenance personnel, as well as assisting in maintaining the general condition of the property, with regards to all aspects of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and painting work. Assigns and assists in completing work orders from all departments on a timely basis. Assigns, supervises and assist in preventive maintenance for all building equipment and guest roomsJOB DUTIES
- Review, prioritize, and issue daily assignments to Engineering and Maintenance staff.
- Order, organize tools and equipment to perform daily assignments.
- Maintain timeliness and work schedule in accordance with preventive maintenance program.
- Check work orders and night report for any problems and resolve in a timely manner.
- Schedule work in advance with repairs and maintenance in guest rooms. Coordinating with Housekeeping and Front Office.
- Oversee electrical repairs and installation.
- Oversee and perform plumbing repairs.
- Oversee and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Oversee and perform any maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.
- Assist the engineers and maintenance personnel in all phases of repair work.
- Adjust work schedule to cover vacations, personal leave and holidays when necessary.
- Maintain proper supply and tool inventory so employees can accomplish their assignments efficiently.
- Ensure security of any assigned keys.
- Assist outside contractors when needed.
- Assume responsibility of engineer on duty when necessary.
- Help in the recommendation of energy saving ideas.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school graduate or equivalent
- US work authorization required
- Prior maintenance experience in commercial setting
- Working knowledge of: oAir Conditioning and Heating oPlumbing codes oElectrical codes oNational/Local fire codes oMechanical codes oSwimming Pool Maintenance oBlue Prints and Plumbing Schematics oPower and hand tools, meters, etc, as it relates to the technical trades
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of general repairs and maintenance
- Very good interpersonal and communication skills; will be interfacing with a high percentage of guests as well as other staff members.
- Flexible to work all shifts, may be required to work overtime on occasion when the department is short-staffed.
- Ability to listen, learn, and be helpful in all situations and make the most sound decisions toward the resolution of a potential problem.
