Job Description

Are you a hands-on leader who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly and safely? We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Director to join our compassionate team at our Assisted Living Community! In this vital role, you'll ensure our building remains safe, welcoming, and compliant with all Tennessee state regulations — helping create a comfortable and secure environment for our residents and staff.
What You'll Do:
Oversee daily maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Ensure full compliance with Tennessee Department of Health and life safety regulations for assisted living facilities. Manage maintenance staff and coordinate with external vendors as needed. Maintain all building systems — HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety equipment. Conduct regular facility rounds and safety audits to ensure readiness for inspections. Maintain detailed maintenance logs, compliance reports, and documentation.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in building maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment. Knowledge of Tennessee assisted living codes and compliance requirements . Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to troubleshoot, prioritize tasks, and ensure safety standards are met. High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certifications preferred.
