Job Description
Summary:
Supervise Mechanics and Electricians in theBody Shop Job Responsibilities:
Implement and actively support corporate safety policies, initiatives, and plant housekeeping standards. Diagnose equipment malfunction, determine root causes, and initiate immediate and long-term corrections. Support plant in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost goals. Supervise construction and maintenance projects. Assist in the implementation of divisional and corporate policies. Maintain schedule and quality requirements. Implement safety and good housekeeping standards. Train, develop, and evaluate employees. Comply with terms of Local and National Labor agreements and supports divisional and corporate policies. Initiate contact with internal and external teams when required to solve problems. Implement planned maintenance activities. Complete work assignments required within budget, manpower and timing constraints. Support plant in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost goals. Supervise construction and maintenance projects. Maintain schedule and quality requirements.Required Skills:
Experience reading and understanding electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints Experience solving complex problems and working in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal skills, experience managing conflict and decision making Experience managing, leading people, and addressing performance concerns Demonstrate a high analytical ability to solve complex problems Basic computer proficiency (i.e., Microsoft Word, typing, email, etc.)Preferred Skills:
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously Willingness to ask questions, take initiative and be resourceful High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, self-directed Experience collaborating across multiple functions within a manufacturing settingEducation/Experience:
Associate degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred. Trained in skilled trades area or equivalent technical training. 10+ years of experience required.Hiring Manager's Top Skills:
Maintenance Background People leadership experience Automotive welding background- understand the process and the quality experience
Shift Information:
1st 5:30AM- 3PM 2nd 3:30PM
- 1 AM 3rd 9:30PM
- 7AM 3 shifts of coverage Rotation is based on what the group leaders like to do They can work any of the 3 shifts
- need to be open to working any shift Will train on 1st shift initially for approx.
