Rockstar Capital is looking for an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to take ownership of maintenance operations and help lead the maintenance team at a 160 unit apartment community in Alvin, Texas. This is a hands on leadership role for someone who takes pride in their work, moves with urgency, and understands how important maintenance is to resident satisfaction and property performance. You will help keep the community safe, clean, functional, and operating at a high level. We are looking for someone who can lead by example, support the maintenance team, complete work orders, manage make readies, respond to emergencies, and help the property team solve problems quickly. What You Will Do Lead daily maintenance operations for the property Lead and support the maintenance team, including assigning work, following up on completion, and helping ensure work orders and make readies are completed on time Complete resident work orders quickly, professionally, and correctly Prepare vacant apartments for new residents Diagnose and repair common apartment maintenance issues, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, lighting, doors, locks, cabinets, windows, leaks, flooring, and general repairs Maintain the pool, grounds, exterior lighting, gates, common areas, storage areas, tools, and equipment Identify safety issues and correct them before they become larger problems Manage maintenance inventory, supplies, parts, and materials Work closely with the Property Manager to prioritize work orders, make readies, vendor needs, and property projects Communicate clearly with residents, team members, vendors, and supervisors Participate in the emergency on call rotation
What We Are Looking For:
At least 3 years of apartment maintenance experience or similar property maintenance experience HVAC experience required EPA certification preferred Prior experience leading or supporting a maintenance team preferred Ability to diagnose and complete common apartment repairs Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and follow through Ability to stay organized while handling multiple priorities Good communication skills Ability to work full time, including weekends when needed Ability to respond to after hours emergencies when on call Ability to work outdoors, walk the property, lift equipment, move appliances, and perform physical maintenance duties Must have your own tools This Role Is a
