Job Description

The Shop Foreman will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shop, including the safety and efficiency of the staff, equipment, and processes. The Shop Foreman will work closely with the mechanics to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner and that production runs smoothly. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to motivate and manage personnel. Shop Foreman Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the shop staff and equipment, ensuring that all operations are being carried out in accordance with company policies and safety regulations Maintain inventory and oversee the ordering of parts for assigned jobs Schedule off-site repairs as needed Train and supervise shop staff, providing guidance and feedback as needed Monitor the progress of projects and ensure that deadlines are met Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise Implement new processes and procedures as needed Coordinate with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of operations Shop Foreman Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role Excellent communication and organizational skills Able to motivate and manage personnel Knowledge of heavy haul equipment maintenance and repair Knowledge of shop equipment and tools Able to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
