A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Mon-Fri (7am- 5pm) The Maintenance Planner is a key member of the Maintenance Support team responsible for maintaining, improving, and standardizing maintenance procedures that drive equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Maintenance Planner Responsibilities:
Maintain, review, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and equipment reliability. Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, and Reliability teams to identify process improvements and implement standardized maintenance practices. Review equipment documentation, including manuals, drawings, and technical specifications, to develop, update, and improve preventive maintenance procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and planned maintenance jobs. Develop, maintain, and optimize the preventive maintenance program to support reliability and continuous improvement initiatives. Plan, prioritize, and schedule preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize labor utilization while minimizing equipment downtime. Coordinate and maintain parts kitting processes to ensure maintenance personnel have the necessary materials available prior to scheduled work. Conduct weekly maintenance tool room audits to ensure organization, inventory accuracy, and compliance with maintenance standards. Monitor maintenance planning metrics and recommend procedural improvements that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and support long-term equipment performance. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline maintenance workflows and enhance overall maintenance effectiveness.Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of recent experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and/or Smartsheet. 1-3 years of maintenance planning and scheduling experience. Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Electrical and/or mechanical aptitude. Associate degree in a technical field, or 4+ years of experience as a machine repair technician, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience using HTML.
