As Mining Maintenance Superintendent you own equipment reliability across our sites—keeping shovels, haul trucks, and processing plants running so our people and partners succeed every shift. What You Will Achieve Deliver 95%+ mechanical availability on critical mobile and plant equipment within 6 months by installing predictive maintenance and condition-monitoring programs. Cut unplanned downtime 20% year-over-year through disciplined root-cause analysis, parts kitting, and technician coaching. Lead a 15-25 person maintenance team to complete 100% of planned PMs on schedule while maintaining zero lost-time incidents. Stand up a site-wide CMMS and inventory system that reduces emergency parts spend 15% and supports multi-site scalability. Partner with operations and mine planning to align maintenance windows with production targets, protecting both output and reclamation commitments. Build a high-performing, people-first crew by hiring, developing, and retaining technicians who live our safety and quality standards. Environment & Resources You report to the Site Operations Manager and work alongside production, safety, and planning leads. You will have a dedicated maintenance budget, access to OEM support, a modern CMMS, and the authority to standardize processes across Turner's growing contract-mining portfolio. Essential Qualifications 10+ years heavy-equipment maintenance in surface mining, aggregates, or similar high-utilization environments, including 5+ years leading crews. Proven record of raising availability and cutting downtime with measurable results. Hands-on expertise with hydraulic, diesel, electrical, and crushing/screening systems plus CMMS proficiency. Demonstrated ability to coach technicians, enforce lock-out/tag-out, and drive a zero-harm culture. Willingness to travel between sites and thrive in a fast-growing, people-first contractor setting.
