Updated 08/21/2026 Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Maintenance for our client's Part 91 flight department. The Director of Maintenance is responsible for aircraft maintenance, including supervising technicians and working directly on Company-owned and operated aircraft to achieve the highest level of safety and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Responsible for ensuring that all aircraft are safe, maintained, and operational. Supervises and performs aircraft maintenance on company-owned aircraft. Plans, schedules, and assigns maintenance tasks requested through work orders. Directs the work of outside maintenance contractors. Develops, tracks, and meets the capital and expense budget for a project, service, and/or flight operations. Ensures maintenance programs are followed during the inspection and repair of aircraft. Maintains technical manuals and reference material in a current status. Ensure all maintenance personnel, vendors, and contractors performing work on aircraft are covered by an approved Anti-Drug/Alcohol Abuse Program. Responsible for updating maintenance personnel/training records for outside service clients. Ensures all maintenance technicians are certified and up to date on required training. Oversees and initiates requisitions for required stock, material, and the ordering of parts for aircraft within the maintenance facility. Ensures the maintaining of company-calibrated tool inventory. Responsible for work order content and review on a timely basis. Manage schedule to include necessary coverage on various shifts as needed. Serves as liaison between the Company and FAA representatives. Maintains and secures maintenance records to FAA regulations on all aircraft. Review all documents before their submission to the FAA. Requirements FAA Airframe and Powerplant license Inspection Authorization (preferred) A minimum of five years of management experience, Director-level preferred A minimum of eight years of experience with large cabin corporate aircraft, Gulfstream strongly preferred A minimum of eight years of Part 91 maintenance experience strongly preferred, 135 experience required Job and company information not to be copied, shared, scraped, or otherwise disseminated without explicit consent of JSfirm, LLC.
