These candidates are self-motivated and dedicated to supporting a team environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conduct daily safety meetings and prioritize safety compliance; Monitor on site job safety to ensure employee safety; Facilitate supplies and needs of crews; Collaborate with the Managers and assist with daily utility maintenance, installation or repair; Maintain open communication with the Managers and higher management; Record employees' daily work hours and document work progress; Provide general supervision to personnel; evaluate performance and recommend or implement appropriate personnel action. Plan, schedule, and direct personnel and equipment in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale; Ensure timely submission of all invoices and paperwork; Read and interpret construction plans and drawings; Attend TCEQ trainings; Communicate regularly with Managers; Attend meetings internally as directed to update essential maintenance staff; Assists Manager in responding to customer questions and complaints; Weekly rotating On-Call by respond to emergency situations after hours or on weekends; Complete other duties as assigned by Crossroads management. Qualifications Minimum of eight (8) years of experience and/or training involving operation and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure, personal computer operations, and use of mechanical tools and equipment, or two (2) years' experience as a utility foreman. Excellent leadership and supervisory skills; Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills; Experience where a high attention to detail and quality in job tasks is expected; Practical knowledge of water and wastewater utility construction installation maintenance, and repair; Experience operating heavy machinery; Safe operating, construction and maintenance procedures for water and sewer. Customer-Service skills to communicate with residents, contractors, business owners, MUD managers and other interdepartmental personnel; Skill in planning, organizing and effectively managing multiple complex projects concurrently; A proficiency in Microsoft office suite, including Excel; The ability to handle tasks as assigned by a supervisor; The ability to complete all other duties assigned. High School diploma or GED; and Water Distribution "C"; Wastewater Collection III License; OSHA 30 Credited Vocational Schooling Valid driver's license Physical Demand Regularly lifting and carrying heavy objects, potentially exceeding 50 pounds Extended periods of standing, walking, climbing ladders, crawling in confined spaces, and navigating uneven terrain;

Climbing:

Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized; Frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping to access underground utilities or perform repairs; Pushing and pulling heavy equipment or materials during excavation and installation processes; Precise hand movements to operate tools and equipment like shovels, wrenches, and power drills; Working in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow; May need to work in tight spaces like trenches or underground utility tunnels; Potential exposure to loud noise from machinery; May come into contact with potentially hazardous materials like chemicals or gas depending on the utility system; Wearing appropriate safety gear including hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and high-visibility clothing is essential; Maintaining a good level of physical fitness is crucial to perform the job effectively. Work Environment Occasionally, well-lighted, heated, and air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. Moderate noise levels, typical of a business office with computers and printers.

Regularly exposed to:

Outdoor dry, wet or humid conditions. Working near moving mechanical parts, plant infrastructure, labs, etc. Extreme outdoor conditions - from heat, cold, rain, snow, ice, etc. Exposure to loud equipment, chemicals, wastewater, the treatment processes, and mechanical equipment. Frequent travel around the Greater Austin Area - in designated company vehicle Be prepared and available for evening Board meetings, after-hours emergencies, dispatch call-outs, etc. Work Hours/Schedule Normal business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, this exempt position routinely requires evening meetings, emergency response, after-hours support, and additional hours as necessary to meet business needs.
