Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our second-shift maintenance team and ensure the optimal operation of our mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems. This role will oversee daily maintenance activities, coordinate repair projects, and manage preventive maintenance procedures to maintain a safe and efficient environment. This position requires a high-level technical expert with Mechanic capabilities (advanced electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC troubleshooting) combined with strong team leadership, task delegation, and root-cause analytical skills. Responsibilities Supervise and manage the second shift maintenance team, assign preventive maintenance (PM) routes, and prioritize emergency repair requests for Class A, B, and C mechanics. Monitor performance to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair activities. Act as the primary technical resource in the shift for complex diagnoses involving electrical schematics, PLCs (Allen-Bradley RSLogix/Studio 5000), VFDs, HMIs, and precision mechanical systems. Monitor and oversee the execution of preventive maintenance schedules utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency. Enforce strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), foreign material control, food safety, and OSHA safety standards. Oversee projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs, coordinating resources, timelines, and budgets effectively. Analyze recurring failures, conduct root-cause assessments, and implement long-term reliability modifications to optimize Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and equipment reliability. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, safety compliance checks, and equipment performance for continuous improvement purposes. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical trade certification preferred. Minimum 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2+ years demonstrated in a senior/lead capacity. Technical certification in electrical/PLC controls, mechanical maintenance, or fluid power is highly desirable. Strong Mechanic competencies, including reading multi-page schematics, PLC fault identification (ladder logic, I/O status), and precision component alignments. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, engineering troubleshooting techniques, and industrial maintenance procedures. Knowledge of working within LOTO, OSHA, GMP, and food-grade production environment protocols. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting, documentation, and project management purposes. Solid grasp of maintenance key performance indicators (KPIs), root-cause methodologies, and preventive maintenance scheduling. Fluency in English and Spanish is required. Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work around active production lines, and handle emergency shift coverage as needed.
