Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Service Manager to lead our automotive service department to new heights! In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive profitability through effective management of service technicians and repair processes. Duties Lead and supervise the service department team, including service technicians and support staff, to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality repairs. Oversee all aspects of automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspensions, alignments, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body work. Manage customer interactions from initial vehicle intake through service writing and final delivery; ensure clear communication of repair needs and estimates. Drive sales through upselling additional services like auto estimating, vehicle maintenance packages, and recommended repairs while maintaining integrity and transparency. Monitor parts inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of parts for repairs. Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with industry standards and dealership policies. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service activities. Promote a customer-first culture by providing exceptional service experiences that foster loyalty and repeat business. Experience Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management. Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts. Hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic is highly desirable to understand technical challenges firsthand. Demonstrated success in upselling services and generating sales within an automotive environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly. Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing processes. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with leadership skills to motivate a team toward achieving departmental goals. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining detailed records of all activities. $3,250.00 - $5,000.00 per month
