Job Description

Director of Maintenance & Facilities Position Summary HAZA Foods is seeking an experienced Director of Maintenance & Facilities to oversee maintenance and facility operations across our multi-market Wendy's restaurant portfolio. This position will lead maintenance teams, oversee vendors and contractors, manage preventive maintenance programs, control repair and maintenance costs, and ensure restaurant facilities and equipment remain safe, reliable, and operational. The ideal candidate has strong multi-unit restaurant, QSR, retail, or similar facilities experience and is comfortable managing teams and operations across multiple markets. Key Responsibilities Lead maintenance and facilities operations across multiple markets. Manage and develop maintenance managers, technicians, and other facilities personnel. Establish and oversee preventive maintenance programs for restaurant equipment and facilities. Monitor work orders, emergency repairs, equipment downtime, and recurring maintenance issues. Oversee HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, electrical, plumbing, building systems, parking lots, lighting, and general facility maintenance. Manage third-party vendors and contractors, including pricing, service quality, and performance. Manage repair and maintenance budgets and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary costs. Evaluate major repair-versus-replacement decisions and assist with capital planning. Oversee major equipment replacements, facility improvements, and maintenance-related projects. Conduct restaurant and market visits to evaluate facility conditions and maintenance performance. Partner closely with Operations leadership to prioritize restaurant maintenance needs. Ensure facilities meet company safety standards and applicable requirements. Track maintenance performance and provide leadership with updates on costs, recurring issues, major repairs, and capital needs. Qualifications 7+ years of facilities, maintenance, construction, or related experience. Leadership experience overseeing maintenance across multiple locations or markets. Multi-unit restaurant/QSR, retail, or hospitality experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen equipment, and general building maintenance. Experience managing vendors, contractors, preventive maintenance programs, and budgets. Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and urgent maintenance needs across different markets. Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly. Location & Travel Candidate should ideally be based in Texas or Louisiana and must be willing to travel regularly throughout HAZA Foods' markets.
