Day Shift Help for . Responsible for the maintenance of district's highways and facilities in accordance with Department standards. Reports directly to the District Engineer. Manages professional, technical and/or administrative employees. Work requires contact with governmental officials and private entities. Employees at this level are virtually self-supervising and assume direct accountability for the work product.

Essential Duties:

Coordinates with local, city, state and federal agencies regarding district maintenance mattersDevelops and monitors maintenance budget.



Oversees the district maintenance operation and coordinates maintenance matters with Area Engineers.



Recommends major maintenance and betterment programs to the Director of Transportation Planning and DevelopmentRecommends major maintenance and betterment programs to the Director of Transportation Planning and DevelopmentResponsible for emergency operationsResponsible for the development, preparation and letting of maintenance contracts for the district.



Responsible for the execution of municipal maintenance agreements and various other agreements such as multiple use agreements, filming on right-of-way agreements, agricultural use agreements.



Responsible for utility and driveway, overweight/oversize permits.



Serves as a consultant to staff engineers regarding maintenance operations as they relate to administration, programming, planning, design, construction and right-of-way in order to coordinate district operations.



Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
