Job Description
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the maintenance team through coordination of resources and activities for all maintenance functions in the plant and will provide the technical link between maintenance functions and production needs. Ensures department's performance is meeting Company goals and objectives including safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery goals. Position Responsibilities may include; Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians with electrical, mechanical and process knowledge while ensuring they are complying with all safety protocols, company policies and work procedures. Set priorities on maintenance activities to assure continuing plant operations with minimum downtime while maintaining responsibility for Key Maintenance Measures (overtime, downtime, callouts, workorder management) in assigned business unit. Lead daily PM activities and work orders resolution. Assign daily tasks to skilled trades workforce associated with improving, down time, safety, quality, cost and delivery. Coordinate with Production, Technical and other Maintenance groups to ensure accurate and efficient completion of maintenance activities. Provide technical assistance to skilled trades personnel in troubleshooting PLC, servo drives, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic concerns. Budget, direct, manage and control all projects ensuring all schedules and budgets are met. Develop and implement procedures to ensure spare parts availability and control of assets is maintained. Responsible for procedure implementation for ISO systems. Evaluate and develop improvement strategies for existing systems to improve reliability. Lead Training sessions for both maintenance team and production team members. Develop and implement both preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Control the ongoing repair and period maintenance budgets in line with the fiscal plan. Implement cost reductions to offset negative or unplanned variance to the fiscal plan.
