This is not a desk-only title. Some days you'll be in the airplane. Some days you'll be in the manual, on the phone with Diamond, or walking a customer through a finding. As the location grows, the job will shift more toward leadership, planning, and building the team — but the standard stays the same: airworthy airplanes and clean paperwork.
Responsibilities:

Opportunity to help build a new Diamond service location from the ground up
Lead day-to-day maintenance operations for Diamond and other GA aircraft
Serve as the maintenance authority for the service center, including return-to-service oversight
Perform and supervise inspections, scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
Keep the shop compliant with FARs, the Repair Station Manual, manufacturer data, ADs, and SBs
Build and maintain accurate aircraft and shop records
Schedule work, manage workflow, and keep aircraft moving without sacrificing quality
Supervise, train, and develop technicians
Coordinate parts, tooling, vendors, and OEM support
Work directly with owners, pilots, and internal teams on status, findings, and next steps
Represent the shop during FAA visits, audits, and certificate-related activity
Help stand up systems, processes, and standards as the Utah location grows
Champion safety on the floor every day
Requirements
FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate — required
Inspection Authorization (IA) — required
Strong working knowledge of FARs, especially Parts 43, 65, 91, and 145
3-5+ years of general aviation maintenance experience
Prior supervisory, lead, or DOM experience preferred
Diamond Aircraft and/or Austro Engine experience strongly preferred
Composite experience a plus
Comfortable being both the technical lead and the person running the shop
Clear communicator with owners, technicians, and the FAA
Organized, accountable, and unwilling to sign off work that isn't right
