We operate a fast-paced manufacturing facility where reliability, quality, and safety are critical. We're looking for someone who enjoys fixing problems, improving equipment, and leading a production team. Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Production Manager to oversee the mechanical health of our manufacturing facility and supervise our production crew. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, preventing breakdowns, and continuously improving manufacturing systems. While you'll supervise production employees, your primary responsibility is ensuring the plant and equipment are operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. Our owner manages scheduling, logistics, purchasing, and overall operations. Your focus is keeping the plant running. Primary ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Lead all preventive and corrective maintenance Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical problems Repair and maintain pumps, motors, mixers, conveyors, tanks, plumbing, and production equipment Coordinate outside contractors when specialized repairs are needed Develop preventive maintenance schedules Maintain spare parts inventory Minimize equipment downtime Production Supervise daily production employees Ensure products are manufactured safely and consistently Train employees on equipment operation and safety Maintain quality standards throughout production Improve production processes and workflow Facility Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility Ensure OSHA compliance Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and process improvements Assist with future equipment installations and plant expansion Qualifications We're more interested in mechanical ability than industry experience.
Ideal candidates have experience in:
Industrial maintenance Manufacturing Heavy equipment repair Processing plants Chemical manufacturing Aggregate or mining operations Food processing Concrete or asphalt plants Preferred qualifications: Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience with electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, belts, and hydraulic systems Basic electrical troubleshooting (480V industrial equipment a plus) Welding and fabrication experience Forklift experience Ability to read equipment manuals and technical drawings Experience supervising employees What Success Looks Like Within your first year, you'll: Reduce unexpected equipment failures Build a preventive maintenance program Improve production reliability Train operators to properly maintain equipment Increase plant uptime and efficiency Help create a culture where problems are solved before they become emergencies The Ideal Candidate You're the person everyone calls when equipment stops working.
