The Service Manager plays a pivotal role in achieving the objectives of their branch's service department by cultivating and leading a dynamic team of Service Technicians. This leadership position is dedicated to the effective management of preexisting equipment, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Through strategic empowerment initiatives, the Service Manager guides and supports Service Technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Additionally, the Service Manager is instrumental in driving maximum sales production, setting and maintaining high standards on a lead-by-lead basis. Their commitment to consistency and leadership creates a work environment that not only meets but exceeds the goals of the branch they are assigned. Duties and Responsibilities Effectively lead and manage a team of technicians and advisors to ensure the achievement of team objectives and sales goals Demonstrate extensive working knowledge of industry standards, product details, and company services offered Develop a solid understanding of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws, ensuring strict adherence within the service department Provide exemplary customer service by maintaining strong customer relationships, addressing concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, and actively engaging in upselling products and services for repeat business Monitor department issues and client complaints to identify patterns and proactively work towards reducing recurring problems Regularly audit work and customer service to ensure compliance with standards, emphasizing the effective, correct, and thorough execution of repair tasks Assist with or perform various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the service department Oversee team members involved in inspections, report preparation, and repairs, ensuring the highest quality of work; if necessary, personally carry out these duties It is an essential function of this job that the employee regularly and reliably reports to work on time each working day. All other duties as assigned Qualifications 3-4 years of management experience, preferably in specialized residential construction, related sales, or other similar fields Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required Excellent technical, oral and written communication skills Must be fluent in English Working Conditions Combination of branch office work and periodic site or warehouse visits to oversee business operations. Fast-paced and dynamic work environment requiring flexibility and strong coordination skills. May require occasional extended hours during peak periods, business audits, or special projects.
