Job Title:
Skilled Maintenance Technician Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team, specializing in the renovation and maintenance of manufactured homes. This role will involve hands-on work in a variety of areas, including carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and grounds maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a commitment to quality work, and the ability to manage others and work independently or as part of a team. The position requires flexibility, including participation in an on-call rotation for emergency repairs and service requests.
Key Responsibilities:
Home Renovation & Repairs :
Lead or assist with the renovation of manufactured homes, ensuring repairs and upgrades are completed to meet community standards and tenant satisfaction.
Maintenance Support :
Assist the Maintenance Team in the completion of daily tasks, prioritizing efficiency, safety, and quality.
Service Requests :
Respond to tenant service requests promptly, ensuring that issues are addressed in a professional and timely manner.
Material & Equipment Management :
Maintain and organize materials in a safe and orderly manner; ensure tools, equipment, and the maintenance facility are well-maintained.
Utility & Grounds Maintenance :
Assist in maintaining community utilities and perform groundskeeping tasks, including cleaning vacant lots and maintaining community assets such as buildings and equipment.
Emergency Response :
Be available for on-call rotation as directed by, responding to emergency repair needs in the community.
Safety & Quality :
Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies while performing tasks. Complete all work on time without compromising quality.
Professional Conduct :
Maintain a professional attitude and work ethic at all times, ensuring the work environment is collaborative and productive, and that community tenants are treated respectfully.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks. Basic knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus. Must possess your own basic carpentry tools. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Must be reliable and able to meet deadlines consistently. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials and equipment. Must be able to handle emergency calls and weekend work as part of the on-call rotation. Must hold a current, valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:
This position may require physical labor in varying weather conditions. The role involves working on-site at the manufactured homes community. Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Benefits:
Competitive hourly wage (based on experience). Paid time off and holidays.
