Manager I, Facilities Repair & Maintenance Facility Maintenance Supervisor - 1st Shift Overview The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing the resources of the Maintenance Department in order to keep the facility and equipment running at peak performance. This is accomplished by evaluating equipment and processes to determine maintenance best practices, coordinating repairs that need to be performed, working with CMMS systems to review and assign work as needed, and evaluating completed work for quality and cleanliness. This role is accountable for all aspects of supervision of the maintenance team including but not limited to development, scheduling, workflow management, coordinating 3rd party vendors, and employee performance improvement. Candidate will actively monitor aspects of the job to maintain compliance with OSHA, GPS, safety, and environmental protocols. Responsibilities Supervise and Develop a Maintenance Team across multiple shifts including 12 hour weekend shifts with varying skill levels. As the 1st shift Maintenance Supervisor you will supervise: 1st shift - 11 technicians Weekend - 3 technicians And cover other shifts when the 2nd shift Supervisor is off. Conduct Safety, Environmental and Operational training with the team. Perform Safety and Environmental Audits. Perform Equipment Effectiveness Audits. Manage the CMMS system, develop PMs, assign corrective and preventive work orders and perform audits on work completed.
Manage the material handling applications:
(Dematic EMS and Beumer BeOS). Work with other departments to synchronize maintenance and safety related requests. Coordinating contracted labor. Collaborate with 2nd shift Maintenance Supervisor, Supply Coordinator, Controls Engineer and Reliability Technician on any current or upcoming projects or maintenance activities. Collaborate with Safety, Environmental and Training personnel to ensure the Facility and Maintenance Staff are compliant and up to date on requirements.
Qualifications Required Education/Certification:
High School Diploma Preferred Education/Certification:
Associates degree in Electrical, Electronic, Engineering or related field, or combination of education and work experience.
Years of Experience:
5 - 7 years of industrial maintenance experience 2 - 3 years of Supervision experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Must be well experienced in the general maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems found in a warehouse or similar industrial or manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of PLC's, variable frequency drive systems, hydraulics and pneumatics. Must possess working knowledge of repairs, maintenance and PM for warehouse or manufacturing systems. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings. CAD experienced preferred. Must possess a prominent level of analytic ability and be able to effectively resolve complex problems. Must be familiar with infrared scan, risk assessment, fire and sprinkler, fire pumps and lock out/tag out processes. SCADA control system experience preferred (Wonderware, Factory Talk View, Dematic EMS)
