Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic crew leader to join our landscaping team. You will play a vital role in keeping grounds clean, healthy, and visually appealing year-round—from mowing and planting to snow removal and minor repairs. This position involves hands-on work in various landscaping tasks, including lawn care, grounds maintenance in full for full landscape contracts. Ideal candidates will have a passion for outdoor work and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns; prune shrubs and trees. Utilize hand tools and equipment effectively to maintain gardens and landscapes. Dig and prepare soil for planting flowers, shrubs, seasonal displays, and trees. Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides safely Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (mowers, blowers, trimmers, etc.) Remove debris, litter, and fallen branches; keep walkways clear Assist with snow and ice removal during winter months Identify and report property damage, safety hazards, or pest issues Support special projects such as hardscaping, mulching, or new plantings Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure tools are organized and in good condition. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their landscaping needs. Qualifications Experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping 4 year minimum Familiarity with hand tools used in gardening and landscaping tasks is beneficial. Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Willingness to learn new skills related to landscaping and hardscaping techniques. A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team environment.
