DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The service manager is responsible for the customer sensitive, efficient, and profitable operation of the dealership's service department. He/she carries out this responsibility by building customer relationships, operating the department at maximum production, creating a good work environment, and properly managing the assets of the department. Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all service staff. Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them. Ensure full compliance with manufacturer policies, warranties, procedures and guidelines. Ensure exemplary customer service levels are executed and maintained in a timely and consistent manner commensurate with CSI standards. Conduct meetings with department employees to discuss activities and issues of mutual interest. Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments. Ensure that all the necessary shop equipment is in proper and safe working condition. Schedule training as necessary to properly repair and service and to satisfy the training standards of the manufacturer
QUALIFICATIONS
At a minimum, the Service Manager should have the following qualifications Excellent communication, supervisory, and managerial skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience Minimum 2 years dealership experience Customer relation skills A team leader who is focused on exemplary customer service.
