Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced "hands-on" Maintenance Director to lead our facilities maintenance operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will actively repair, maintain, and oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across our facilities. Your leadership will ensure that all equipment and infrastructure operate efficiently, safely, and reliably, fostering a proactive maintenance culture that minimizes downtime and maximizes operational performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a small team, implement innovative maintenance strategies, and uphold the highest safety standards to support our organizational goals. Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs alongside the maintenance team including repairs, lifting/moving, general equipment maintenance, grounds keeping, and more. Lead and manage the facilities maintenance team, including supervising 1 assistant, outsourced technicians, and sub contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks. Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive maintenance repair and care of the building and its equipment Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule work orders, track asset history, and analyze maintenance data for continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations by enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety audits, and providing ongoing training on safety procedures. Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs by coordinating resources, timelines, and budgets effectively. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and safety incidents to support regulatory compliance and operational transparency. Oversee the repair and maintenance of HVAC systems—including troubleshooting HVAC issues—and ensure optimal climate control across all facilities alongside our outside HVAC contractor. Lead emergency response efforts for facility issues such as electrical outages or mechanical failures to minimize impact on operations. Lead and review regularly our emergency preparedness plans including fire drills, safety drills, etc. Requirements Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance management with strong team leadership skills. Extensive mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in mechanical systems repair and troubleshooting. Proficiency in using CMMS software and Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations along with experience implementing safety programs within industrial settings. (recommended) Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective team coordination and reporting purposes. Skills must include reading and writing in the English language. Pay:
$28.00 - $31.00 per hour
