Mow and Maintenance Crew Lead

Job Description

Responsibilities Serve as the main field manager for Crew 1, directly participating in and overseeing tasks such as mowing, edging, weed eating, blowing, bed maintenance, aeration, irrigation, and other required services. Provide daily on-site coaching to crew leads and laborers, actively stepping in to resolve field issues, finish jobs, or cover for absent team members. Perform property walk-throughs to inspect quality and ensure compliance with Wolbert's service excellence standards. Lead or take part in daily morning huddles, and assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new crew members. Experience Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening or groundskeeping with a strong knowledge of horticulture principles. Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience in outdoor or construction environments. Skilled in operating landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools. Background in hardscaping construction projects such as patios or retaining walls is highly desirable. Knowledge of plant identification, tree care practices, irrigation management, and general grounds maintenance techniques. Prior experience managing teams of crew members in outdoor settings is preferred. Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work across various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards. Position Requirements 2-4 years of experience in landscaping or property maintenance, with a proven track record of field leadership. Demonstrated ability to manage field crewscrew efficiently within a fast-paced environment. Solid knowledge of landscape maintenance standards, equipment operations, and safety protocols. Excellent communication skills, able to communicate with customers and staff. Possession of a valid driver's license, individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US, the ability to safely tow and park a trailer, willingness to work in diverse weather conditions, and capability to travel locally.
