Summary We are seeking a Maintenance Director to join our team at Renard's Cheese. Primary Function The Maintenance Director is responsible for a variety of maintenance and miscellaneous duties throughout several departments within the company. This position must adhere to all proper procedures and standards set forth by management. Job requires adeptness to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to pay strong attention to detail and multitask effectively. This position ensures compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety regulations and guidelines. You must be a team player with a positive attitude that follows work instructions set forth by management. This position could be exposed to working in a wet/slippery environment with loud noise in varying degrees of temperature. Responsibilities Responsible for scheduling, planning, organizing, and performing a variety of maintenance tasks Collaborates with other departments to ensure all maintenance needs are prioritized and executed Performs and or assigns for completion on a regular basis scheduled preventative maintenance duties of buildings and equipment Schedules maintenance with outside venders as needed Performs general property maintenance Complete and or assigns for completion, some landscaping and snow removal duties Schedules vehicle maintenance and monitors Motive for driver reported maintenance issues. Keeps supervisor fully informed of all problems or unusual matters to facilitate corrective action if required. Completes all necessary recordkeeping of maintenance activities by utilizing Maintain X system. Maintain and update standard operating procedures and ensure that all maintenance staff are trained in the most updated version of the operating procedures. Maintain working knowledge of equipment and best practices, such as preventative or predictive maintenance. Performs any other related duties as required or requested. Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, positive, and organized work environment. Establish a good working relationship with department employees and management Follow and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices Observe proper safety policies and procedures at all times Be a team player Manage and evaluate the staff, including (but not limited to) performance management and employee development Establishes and maintain performance standards, while providing coaching and mentoring to enhance individual and team performance. Maintains a positive workflow in order to complete scheduled maintenance and projects as required.
