Road Breakdown & Fleet Support Coordinator Department:

Maintenance & Fleet Operations Reports to: Director of Maintenance Position summary Xtreme Trucking is seeking a Road Breakdown & Fleet Support Coordinator to help drivers through equipment problems and get trucks and trailers safely back on the road. This person will manage breakdowns from the first driver call through repair completion, keeping drivers, Operations, and Maintenance informed throughout the event. The role also supports warranty recovery, vendor performance, and fuel cost review. What you'll do Answer driver calls about breakdowns and maintenance emergencies; gather the details needed to determine the next step. Coordinate roadside service, towing, dealerships, and repair facilities. Review estimates and authorize repairs within established company limits, escalating larger decisions to the Director of Maintenance. Keep drivers and Operations updated on repair status, expected downtime, and any changes to the plan. Confirm repairs are complete and equipment is safe to return to service. Record breakdown causes, repair costs, downtime, and vendor performance; identify repeat problems. Identify eligible warranty repairs, submit claims, and follow through on reimbursement. Review fuel transactions and reports for exceptions and cost-saving opportunities. Prepare regular reports on breakdowns, downtime, road call costs, warranty recovery, and fuel expenses. What we're looking for Experience in trucking maintenance, breakdown coordination, dispatch, roadside assistance, or fleet operations. Working knowledge of commercial trucks, trailers, and common repair issues. Calm, practical decision-making when a driver is stranded and time matters. Clear communication with drivers, vendors, dispatch, and maintenance leadership. Strong follow-through, accurate recordkeeping, and comfort using fleet software and Microsoft Office. Availability for on-call rotation, after hours. Success in this role means drivers get a prompt response, Operations knows when equipment will be available, repairs are handled safely at a reasonable cost, and warranty dollars are recovered.

Pay:

$25.26 - $30.42 per hour
