Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented Maintenance Engineering Manager to oversee our facility's maintenance operations. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure smooth production processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in industrial engineering, and a proactive approach to safety and troubleshooting. Your leadership will be key in optimizing equipment performance and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities Manage and supervise the facilities maintenance team to ensure timely repairs and preventative maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Develop and implement maintenance repair procedures following safety regulations such as OSHA standards. Troubleshoot engineering issues using schematics, electrical systems knowledge (including high voltage and low voltage), PLCs, and diagnostic tools like ohmmeters. Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs while managing budgets, timelines, and resources effectively. Lead efforts in HVAC system repair, electrical system troubleshooting, plumbing system maintenance, and mechanical systems repair to minimize downtime. Experience Proven management experience within manufacturing or facilities environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, electrical systems (including high voltage), plumbing maintenance, and general mechanical systems repair. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, engineering troubleshooting techniques, and safety standards such as OSHA regulations. Experience using Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation purposes. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently. Prior experience managing facilities maintenance management systems (CMMS) is preferred. Experience with schematics, AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, other drafting software. Food manufacturing strongly preferred. Physical Requirements This role is performed on the production floor and throughout the facility, and requires the ability to: Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods. Climb ladders and work at heights, and access confined or elevated spaces to inspect and repair equipment. Work in varying temperature environments, including refrigerated or cold-storage areas typical of food production facilities. Work with hand and power tools, with exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical systems. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Read schematics, gauges, and diagnostic tools with sufficient visual acuity. $90,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
