Position:
Maintenance Director- O ffers $2500 Sign On Bonus Edenbrook Oshkosh, part of Eden Senior Care network, is seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Director to oversee the daily maintenance and operations of our facility. The Maintenance Director will be responsible for ensuring that the building, equipment, utilities, and grounds are safe, functional, and well-maintained while maintaining compliance with applicable company policies and state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong knowledge of building systems and a commitment to creating a safe, comfortable environment for our residents and staff. Key Responsibilities Plan, schedule, and oversee the repair and maintenance of facility machinery, tools, equipment, and building systems. Direct and participate in maintenance activities involving utility systems, including heating, electrical, plumbing, gas, steam, and air systems. Develop and maintain an effective preventive maintenance program to help ensure equipment and systems remain in good working condition. Inspect equipment and recommend improvements or corrective measures to promote safe and efficient operations. Maintain appropriate inventory of tools, equipment, parts, and supplies and requisition materials as needed. Review plans for new products, equipment, or facility improvements and communicate equipment needs and modifications with appropriate personnel. Oversee the appearance, safety, and upkeep of the facility grounds and outdoor areas. Participate in the facility's Performance Improvement Program and support ongoing quality and safety initiatives. Lead the facility's Safety Committee, including maintaining meeting minutes and supporting follow-up on safety-related action items. Respond to maintenance emergencies and coordinate appropriate repairs or corrective actions. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of building codes and applicable regulations related to facility operations and plant equipment. Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems. Knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety requirements. Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and coordinate timely repairs. Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct, motivate, and support maintenance staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and leadership. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs in a timely manner. Qualifications Previous Facility Management or Maintenance Director experience is required. Experience in a healthcare, senior living, skilled nursing, or similar facility environment is preferred. Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local health and safety requirements. Must successfully complete required background checks and reference verification. Must be able to respond to maintenance emergencies by telephone or in person, as needed. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with facility leadership and staff.
