Maintenance Planner Ur-Energy

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Maintenance Planner is a critical operations role responsible for planning, prioritizing, and coordinating maintenance activities across Ur-Energy's uranium mining and processing facilities. You will work cross-functionally with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Safety teams to minimize equipment downtime, optimize resources, and uphold a strong safety culture.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Manage maintenance work requests and backlog in SAP, including scoping, planning, prioritization, and converting notifications to work orders Develop and maintain job plans, work procedures, checklists, and job packets with complete scope, materials, and safety requirements Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and outage maintenance in coordination with production, safety, and supply chain teams Determine labor, materials, parts, and contractor requirements for all maintenance work Ensure material availability and timely delivery to staging areas in partnership with the Supply Chain Manager Maintain master data integrity and accuracy of maintenance backlog and work orders in SAP Participate in KPI and scheduling meetings, providing performance analysis and improvement actions Coordinate external service providers and contracted maintenance work Support safety audits and ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable state mining regulations
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Maintenance Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field — or equivalent experience 3-5 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or operations in mining, processing, or heavy industrial environments Experience in regulated or safety-sensitive environments preferred Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling principles Proficiency with maintenance planning software (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Combination of office, warehouse, and mine site environments Occasional site visits involving walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs or ladders, and wearing required PPE Ability to occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and noise during site visits Ur-Energy is an equal opportunity employer.
