Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for reading and recording volume used by residential and commercial consumers to ensure accurate consumption and billing. May perform a visual meter inspection to assess the condition and overall operation of the meter and note any visible defects or issues.Requirements:
Valid drivers licenseMust successfully pass pre-employment screenings: drug test, background check, and driving recordMust be able to walk up to 10-15 miles a day in all weather conditionsWorking Conditions and Hours:
Hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm and some weekends as requiredOutdoor work environment including rain, snow, extreme cold, or high heatDriving company vehicle to and from work sites may be exposed to road related hazards.Knowledge and Abilities:
Successfully complete the companys training program and pass applicable written and field testsAttention to detail and accuracy to record meter data Ability to find locations/address by reading a map and handheld device and/or laptop. Ability to key data into handheld device and/or laptop. Basic computer skills helpful.
