The Meter Reader will be responsible for accurately reading and recording utility meters in the field, ensuring that all data collected is precise and timely. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work independently in various outdoor and indoor environments. Contractors must be respectful when interacting with customers and the public. Meter Readers will be required to walk, stand, bend, or kneel to obtain reads. Some utility meters will require walking for extended periods of time. Duties Conduct regular readings of electric, water, or gas meters to ensure accurate billing. Record meter readings using handheld devices, cameras, and/or manual logs. Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with meter functionality or log discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of readings and service requests, ensuring compliance with company standards. Qualifications Ability to work independently in various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation for travel to various job sites.
