Work is performed under the general supervision of the crew leader or the on-site supervisor.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Operates a jackhammer, lawn mower, power saw, tapping machine, chain saw, hand tools, light trucks, and assist with sewer cleaning machine. Assists in installing water and sewer lines; repairs wastewater main and manholes; enters confined spaces (i.e. sewer or manholes) to do maintenance. Performs preventative maintenance on tools and equipment. Performs meter accuracy tests on customers' meters. Installs and resets meters. Replaces meter boxes. Reads customer service meters. Loads and downloads hand-held meter devices. Turns meters on/off. Performs minor painting, plumbing, and maintenance. Cleans and stocks the truck. Loads and unloads various materials; performs yard clean-up and all other duties assigned. Attendance and timeliness are essential functions of the job. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED; must be able to obtain Texas CDL Driver's License within six (6) months from date of hire; must be able to obtain a Texas "D" Water Distribution and Collections I Certification within one (1) year from date of hire, and must be able to obtain a Texas "C" Water Distribution Certification with three (3) years from date of hire. A minimum of six (6) months experience in performing construction work requiring the use of equipment similar to or the same as assigned to this position.
