!! The office location is in Fort Bend County. Water Meter Operator The Meter reader is responsible for a variety of duties including reading residential and commercial meters and other activities associated. Job duties also include public works assignments, equipment maintenance, and other task assigned by management. Operators are dedicated in monitoring, reporting, surveying and providing preventative measures in Public Works, while ensuring that official ordinances are followed according to regulations. Operators will exhaust all means to obtain accurate readings at each connection on assigned routes using sight tube ,hand/ auto pump as needed. Operators will utilize hand-held reading equipment to retrieve connection data, locate read accounts and watch for out of sequence connections. The ideal candidate for this position will have an eye for detail and be able to walk for long periods of time in all types of weather. Reader must be Detailed Oriented, Meticulous and Precise.CUSTOMER SERVICE IS

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing greater than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested. Training provided.
