Industrial Maintenance & Alignment Specialist Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Precision Millwright to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex industrial machinery. This role requires expertise in precision alignment, rotating equipment, and mechanical troubleshooting in a heavy industrial environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-driven, and experienced in working with tight tolerances and critical equipment. Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical systems
- Perform precision alignments on motors, pumps, gearboxes, and rotating equipment using dial indicators and laser alignment tools
- Conduct equipment tear-downs, inspections, and rebuilds to OEM specifications
- Set and verify tolerances, clearances, and fits on critical components
- Perform shaft alignments, coupling installations, and bearing replacements
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Execute preventative and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime
- Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and rigging equipment for installs and moves
- Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineers, and supervisors to ensure efficient operations
- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and procedures at all times Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Millwright, with strong precision maintenance experience preferred
- Proven experience with laser alignment, dial indicators, and precision measuring tools
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with rigging, setting equipment, and working with tight tolerances
- Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or travel as needed Work Environment & Schedule
- Industrial setting (plant, mill, shipyard, or outage work)
