2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Tech III Liberty Packaging - Phoenix vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, tuition assistance, 401(k), profit sharing United States, Arizona, Phoenix 3330 West Cocopah Street (Show on map) Aug 21, 2026 Description The 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician III will lead maintenance activities, performing complex maintenance tasks such as complex troubleshooting of equipment issues, and ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of our manufacturing machinery. This will require a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude gained from a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems. This role requires exceptional problem-solving skills and a proven track record of leadership in maintenance. This full-time position reports directly to the Sr. Production Supervisorand is located at our Phoenix, AZ, manufacturing facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and coordinate preventive maintenance programs for manufacturing equipment and machinery. Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues. Implement solutions and perform repairs to minimize equipment downtime and maximize efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis and develop strategies to prevent recurring equipment failures. Oversee the installation, setup, and calibration of new equipment. Perform repairs and maintenance on facilities and equipment including minor HVAC, plumbing, wastewater management, and boiler maintenance. Mentor and train junior technicians, providing technical guidance and support. Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, parts usage, and equipment history. Ensure appropriate level of communications regarding issues and repair status. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
High School diploma or GED equivalent from accredited institution. 5+ years of experience as a maintenance tech/mechanic in manufacturing environment AND/OR satisfactory completion of level III requirements from the LDI Maintenance Training Program. Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Understanding of basic HVAC and plumbing. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
2+ year technical degree in Maintenance related field Experience within the corrugated industry Experience with operational excellence or continuous improvement programs - Lean 6 Sigma, Kaizen Events
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The starting pay rate for this position is $33.00 per hourplus $1.00 hourly shift differential pay. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
