WORK WEEK - 4/10 SCHEDULE!
Flexibility to work Swing shift as needed!!
Summary:
Proficient in maintaining elevating, conveying and pneumatic systems, mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment, such as metal fabricating machine tools, material handling system, and automated lubrication system, following blueprints and specifications and using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Performs preventive maintenance of equipment to ensure uninterrupted operation of equipment. Welding and Fabrication skills must be at a high level and defined. Ability to train others in all maintenance duties. Performs all duties without supervision.
Essential Functions:
Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions. Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to the problem area, using hand tools and power tools. Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems. Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system, using hand tools and power tools and following blueprints, diagrams, and service manuals. Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles and clutches, using hand tools and following diagrams. Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe. Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair. Must be able to troubleshoot and maintain automated equipment lines- plantwide. May repair broken parts, using brazing, soldering, welding equipment and hand tools. May set up and operate metalworking tools, such as lathe, drill press, or grinder, to make or repair parts. Completes work orders. Performs other duties as required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of machinery operations. Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages. Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision. Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems. Establish and maintain permanent files. Must have knowledge and experience operating a Powered Industrial Truck (forklift). The ability to organize, prioritize and own multiple tasks while meeting and/or exceeding deadlines. The ability to learn and apply new technology, with the willingness to share knowledge with others. Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral/written instructions. Ability to apply common sense to work performed. Ability to communicate with others effectively.
Education and Experience:
Must be 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or GED equivalent, required. Minimum of 6 years experience of industrial and mechanical maintenance. Welding certifications, a plus Proficient at welding and fabrication, desired.
Work Environment:
Lifting/Carrying:
Able to lift, carry, and hold up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform repetitive motion.
Stooping/Kneeling:
Able to stoop and/or kneel to access equipment when needed.
Reaching/Handling:
Able to retrieve and work with appropriate equipment and supplies. Requires use of stairs, ladders, catwalks and walking on uneven surfaces. May require working at heights, at times with the use of fall protection. Requires working around confined spaces. Work area is in an environment with varied moderate temperatures and areas of excessive noise. Position involves exposure to odors, dust, rice by-products, food grade chemicals, and mosquitoes. Requires use of provided PPE Involves indoor and outdoor work in all types of weather.
Work Schedule:
Full time, 40 hour week Schedule may vary depending on needs of production. Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
