Job Title:
Installation Technician Job Description The Installation Technician supports the installation of accessory dwelling units (ADUs) by assisting with site preparation, structural work, and finishing tasks. This role involves operating and maintaining construction tools and equipment, performing general labor activities, and helping ensure that each project site remains safe, clean, and organized. The Installation Technician works closely with a field team to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule while following established safety protocols and procedures. Responsibilities Assist with the installation of ADUs, including site preparation, framing, roofing, and finishing work. Operate and maintain construction equipment, hand tools, and power tools in a safe and effective manner. Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment to support daily construction activities. Perform general site clean-up and help maintain a safe, organized, and clutter-free work environment. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete assigned tasks on schedule. Interpret and follow instructions, including basic blueprints or construction plans as directed. Support mechanical and electrical-related tasks as needed, using strong mechanical aptitude. Carry out other duties as assigned by the site supervisor to ensure smooth project execution. Essential Skills 2-3 years of experience in construction or general labor. Ability to operate basic construction tools and equipment, including hand and power tools. Practical experience with carpentry and general construction tasks. Ability to read or work from basic blueprints or construction drawings. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical and electrical components under guidance. Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying materials. Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in a construction environment. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with site personnel. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality work. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently when required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working on outdoor construction sites and adapting to changing conditions. Demonstrated ability to maintain tools and equipment in good working order. Comfort performing repetitive physical tasks and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail when completing framing, roofing, and finishing work. Work Environment This role is based in an outdoor construction site environment with regular exposure to various weather conditions. Safety practices are emphasized, and team members are expected to follow site procedures to maintain a secure and efficient work area. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gardena, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
