Position Summary The industrial technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and supporting production machinery and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations. This position works closely with production and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime, improve machine reliability and keep production on schedule. Key Responsibilities Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on production machines Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control system problems Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions Diagnose equipment problems and identify the root cause of failures Perform equipment inspections and identify potential problems before they result in downtime Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment failures, repairs, and replacement parts Assist with preventive maintenance programs and ensure scheduled maintenance is completed on time Maintain a clean and safe work area Communicate equipment issues, repair status and potential production concerns to supervisors Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of work experience in the field Technical degree in industrial applications or equivalent training is preferred Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems Basic computer skills and ability to enter maintenance information into server systems Ability to use common hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment Ability to work independently as well as effectively with a team
Preferred Experience:
PLC-controlled machinery Motor and motor controls Automated production equipment Industrial electrical troubleshooting Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, climb and reach Ability to lift and carry equipment, tools and parts as required Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, dust, heat and other typical production conditions Ability to work safely around operating industrial equipment
Pay:
$24.00 - $34.00 per hour
