Competitive pay Full benefit package starting day 1 401k matching Tuition Reimbursement Position Overview The Certified Maintenance Technician (Dual Craft Millwright/Pipefitter) is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding rotating equipment and piping systems to ensure safe and reliable plant operations. This role supports preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and field fabrication while adhering to all safety and environmental standards.
What You Will Be Doing:
Rebuild and maintain rotating equipment including pumps, conveyors, and industrial fans Perform laser alignment and set equipment clearances using precision measuring tools Execute machinery lubrication and select appropriate bearings, O-rings, and gaskets Fabricate, assemble, and install threaded piping, tubing, and flanged connections Perform pipe fitting, valve maintenance, and rebuild valve packing as needed Read blueprints, cut sheets, and develop field sketches for installation and repair work Operate equipment including forklifts, man lifts, drill presses, pipe threaders, grinders, and hand tools Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections on plant equipment Support safe work execution including lockout/tagout, permitting, and PPE compliance Identify and report unsafe conditions, near misses, and environmental concerns Maintain housekeeping standards in maintenance areas and ensure proper waste handling Assist with work permits and participate in incident investigations Support site safety programs and actively participate in safety meetings and training
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED Millwright certification and/or 5+ years of rotating equipment maintenance experience Pipefitter or boilermaker certification and/or 5+ years of pipefitting or boilermaking experience Strong knowledge of pipe systems, valves, and mechanical equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Experience with flange assembly, torqueing, and pipe supports Basic math and computer skills Ability to operate industrial equipment and tools safely Ability to wear a full-face respirator and work under supplied air Working knowledge of site safety standards and contractor safety programs
Compensation:
The base hourly pay for this position, based on the job description criteria listed, is $54.39 per hour. Hourly pay ranges are determined using market data based on position and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum pay for the position.
