Job Description
Volt is immediately hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic II in Oxnard, CA! As a Maintenance Mechanic II you will: Job Description and Day to Day Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding heavy industrial manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision.
- Support production operations by ensuring machinery and equipment remain safe, reliable, and operational. Day to Day Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, repair, and rebuild industrial manufacturing equipment including punch presses, press brakes, CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and cranes.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic issues on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair 110V to 480V AC electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase circuits.
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical documents.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and improve machine reliability.
- Disassemble machinery, replace defective components, fabricate minor replacement parts, and make operational adjustments.
- Start up, shut down, restart, and test industrial equipment to verify repairs and performance.
- Follow OSHA regulations, electrical safety requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Lubricate, clean, and maintain machine components to ensure efficient operation. This is a full-time opportunity. Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
- Knowledge of 110V to 480V AC electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong initiative. Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working on Soco, Amada, Haas, CNC, milling, lathe, and punch press machines.
- Experience maintaining facility systems and equipment.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
