Job Description
Position Summary:
Follows foreman's lead on job specific duties and delivers quality work in a safe and efficient manner. Duties include but not limited to performing a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor to complete waterproofing, caulking, concrete, grinding, coating, sealant and painting (including prep, paint and spray) construction projects.Job Responsibilities, Comments and Standards:
Follows directions as provided by Foreman or Field Leader each day. Demonstrates responsibility for their ongoing individual safety and that of those working around them. Demonstrates responsibility regarding work site productivity; from properly preparing to start a job daily to making optimal use of all tools and materials needed, producing quality work at all times. Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor to complete waterproofing, caulking, sealant and painting construction projects.Maintains a clean job site:
picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards. Performs materials handling and storage as needed. Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and lifts materials as directed. Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the Foreman, their Superintendent or General Manager, or Human Resources. Reports to jobsites with all required PPE, tools and any applicable uniform clothing. Turns in all required paperwork (Including electronic and paper Timecard activity) in a timely manner. Adheres to all company policies. Promotes positive relationships; treating people with dignity, respect & compassion. Embodies and demonstrates the MBW values on a daily basis and in every interaction. Works well with others as a team. Demonstrates a willingness to grow and learn more about the trade, within the company. Protects the name of 'Mark Beamish Waterproofing' by being a professional in action, words & wearing uniform proudly. Reports to work on a timely basis every day as specified by their Superintendent and Project Managers. Is required to travel as necessary (no more than 50% of the time). Notifies their MBW Superintendent and Foreman in the event of tardiness or absenteeism. Completes other tasks as directed by the MBW Superintendent, Foreman and/or Project Managers. Abides and follows MBW policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.Education, Experience and Other Requirements:
Trade training through apprenticeships, college, or trade school preferred. Minimum 1 year construction industry experience preferred. Command of English language preferred Possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license if driving company vehicle.Work Environment and Physical Demands:
