Job Title:
Construction Installation Technician Job Description The Construction Installation Technician supports a variety of new construction projects by installing multiple materials and systems, including ductwork, large walk-in freezers, grease hoods, cabinets, countertops, lighting, and wall panels. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, confident use of power and hand tools, and precise measurement skills. You will work closely with a crew of approximately five team members in active new construction environments and travel to different project sites, including overnight stays. Responsibilities Install a wide range of construction materials and systems, including ductwork, large walk-in freezers, grease hoods, cabinets, countertops, lighting, and wall panels in new construction settings. Perform general construction tasks across multiple trades such as carpentry, HVAC installation, flooring, and related installation work as project needs require. Use various power tools and basic hand tools safely and effectively to complete installation and construction tasks. Accurately read and interpret tape measurements down to 1/16 of an inch to ensure precise cutting, fitting, and installation of materials. Assist with HVAC-related installation work, including duct installation and other industrial installation tasks as assigned. Support general labor activities on the job site, such as material handling, site preparation, and cleanup to maintain an organized and safe work area. Travel to and from project sites, including overnight travel, and adapt to different job locations and site conditions. Collaborate closely with a crew of approximately five team members, following project plans, installation guidelines, and safety procedures. Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to understand installation requirements and layout. Maintain and use personally owned power tools and basic tools in good working condition for daily job tasks. Essential Skills At least 2 years of experience in the construction field, specifically in new construction environments. Ability and willingness to perform all aspects of construction work, including carpentry, HVAC, flooring, and general installation tasks. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with a variety of materials and installation methods. Proficient use of different types of power tools and basic hand tools in a construction setting. Ability to accurately read a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch. Experience with general labor and construction duties, including installation and industrial work. Capability to install ductwork and perform duct installation tasks. Willingness and ability to travel to and from project sites, including overnight travel. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings. Reliability in providing and maintaining personal power tools and basic tools for daily use. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
