Job Description

Maintenance Technician Our client in Jasper, Ga has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of various equipment and systems within the manufacturing facility, including troubleshooting issues, conducting inspections, performing repairs and carrying out preventive maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:
Must understand and follow all safety requirements for operating equipment Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance, as required, on shop equipment, and the facilities if needed, with minimal supervision Design and trouble shoot PLC program logic for machine control functions Fabricate and/or repair electrical/ electronic equipment from drawings Support Lean Initiatives through 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, ACP's, etc. Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair the fabrication equipment Perform any duties assigned to keep production rate and meet production schedule Ensure timely and effective communication and coordination with all other departments within the company and its divisions Must be willing to cross-train other employees
Qualifications:
High school or equivalent required; AS degree or advanced technical training/certifications required Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and drawings required
Knowledge of:
Electrical systems required Electronic troubleshooting required Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) required Mechanical repairs required Millwright CNC machine repair required Hydraulic systems required Pneumatic systems required Welding plus Test equipment plus Bench tools Possess and demonstrate independent motivation to accomplish assigned tasks Goal-oriented team player Strong mechanical aptitude Must be able to work overtime as needed (potentially some weekends, off-shifts, holidays, etc.) PC experience required such that basic level of skill can be demonstrated in Microsoft Word and Excel Previous experience working with Advanced Maintenance Management System "AMMS" preferred not required Effective verbal and written communication skills
