Boise, ID Dixon Container is seeking a motivated and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to be a part of it's maintenance team. The Maintenance Mechanic must possess the desire and ability to maintain all plant equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic's role is to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all plant equipment. They will also be expected to communicate effectively with machine operators about good practices to keep machines running longer without issues. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment. Reads, understands, and troubleshoots using diagrams and manuals Understands instrumentation and electrical processes
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Has 3 Years Experience in mechanical maintenance Is highly proficient and experienced in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment Is knowledgeable in the areas of mechanical machinery, air compressors, pneumatic & hydraulic operations, welding and fabrication Reads and understands blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals Has strong team, verbal, and written skills
