Job Description

Operations Millwright Job Description:
An Operations Mechanic is a hands-on technician responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and related systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production or operational processes.
Core Responsibilities:
    Equipment Operation & Setup:
    Load, operate, and adjust machinery such as wire clip machines, box makers, and conveyor systems; feed materials, make tooling adjustments, and ensure proper alignment.
      Maintenance & Repair:
      Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems; replace worn parts, lubricate components, and service pumps, motors, compressors, and conveyors.
        Troubleshooting:
        Diagnose and repair mechanical failures using hand tools and specialized equipment, and perform preventative maintenance checks as needed. Equipment for defects; maintain inspection sheets; enforce safety standards and HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) policies to prevent injuries.
          Documentation:
          Record maintenance and repair data. Ability to create and follow regular Maintenance PMs.
            Team Support:
            Work alongside operators, company personnel, and maintenance leads to keep production lines running smoothly.
              Emergency Response:
              Respond to equipment failures or emergencies; coordinate repairs during. pre-operations phases at industrial and mining sites.
              Required Skills & Competencies:
              • Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems knowledge
              • Construction and equipment operation skills
              • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
              • Teamwork and leadership in operational settings
              • Adherence to safety and quality standards
              • Ability to weld and fabricate equipment and production operations as needed
              • Comfortable operating various equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, front end loaders, and other production based equipment.
              Qualifications:
                Education:
                High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in technical, industrial, or mechanical fields preferred.
                  Certifications:
                  preferred safety and maintenance certifications.
                    Experience:
                    4 + years in maintenance or operations roles; experience with heavy equipment, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and related machinery.
                    Work Environment:
                    Typically found in industrial plants, or mining and manufacturing facilities. This role requires physical, stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in an unsupervised environment. In summary, an Operations Mechanic blends operational expertise with maintenance skills to keep machinery running efficiently and safely, ensuring production continuity and compliance with operational standards.

                    From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
